My heart, overfloweth 07/19/2010
I just recently had a moment of thankfulness last night. Not only was it my husband's 35th birthday and we were enjoying a lovely Chicago evening on the patio of the 50/Fifty restaurant on Division. But just a few days ago, I was mentioning to him how much I wanted to do a fashion shoot with an established designer that our friend Phil shoots amazing photography for. I was waiting for the opportunity to either bring it up casually, or perhaps even craft a clever email. Little did I know that I have another reason to love my life. To help in celebration of B's birthday, Phil and his lovely wife Joline (she is the one who's named after my boxxy klutch!) came out for drinks later on last night. He had just done a fantastic photo shoot on Friday and was showing us pictures of these really fun/classy goth chokers by Jessica Lindsay, when he mentioned that I, too, should be featured have a combo shoot with JM Couture! B and I just looked each other and I couldn't stop smiling and felt like I was on Cloud Nine! :o) So, stay tuned! I can't help but to think that once my mLds are featured in such high quality photo shoots and fashion shows as the ones that Phil is working with, the sky is the limit! art is dynamic and ever changing. the same is true with mariiLang designs! mLd is transitioning over to a new website! I am excited to see what else I will stumble upon!! As you can see, it has more of a ‘shopping’ feel, which is where I’ve wanted to take mLd for awhile now. An added bonus is this ‘blog’ function. Although blogging tends to be high maintenance, I hope I can bring myself to share with you both exciting news about mLd, and sometimes even the hardships of starting a business. For now, thank you reading, for your support, and lastly for believing in me and helping me make my dreams come true!
